Free Payment Receipt generator with automatic amount-in-words — for cash, cheque, bank transfer, or mobile-wallet payments. FBR-compatible format, single-page PDF, A4 or 80mm thermal.
A Payment Receipt formally acknowledges money received from a customer — against an invoice, contract milestone, rent, or service. Includes both numeric amount and amount-in-words for tamper resistance. Used in Pakistan, India, Gulf, and globally as primary proof of remittance.
Every Pakistani business that's ever chased a customer for "did you transfer the money?" understands why Payment Receipts matter. A clean, dated, properly numbered receipt issued the moment you confirm payment kills 90% of accounts-receivable disputes before they start. The customer's accountant has a clear record ("we paid INV-2026-0042 on 15 March"). Your books have a matching record. The auditor sees a continuous numbered sequence. Nobody has to dig through bank statements at year-end to figure out what was paid against what. The amount-in-words isn't decoration — it's how Pakistani courts decide receipt disputes when somebody tries to alter the numeric. Fill it out on your phone (this generator runs entirely in your browser), WhatsApp the PDF to the payer immediately, and you've upgraded your business's professionalism by 30 seconds of effort per receipt.
A Payment Receipt is the formal acknowledgement a business issues when it receives money from a customer or counterparty. Unlike a Cash Memo (which documents a goods sale) or a Tax Invoice (which formalizes the supply for tax purposes), a Payment Receipt specifically confirms that money has been received — against an existing invoice, a contract milestone, a rental payment, or a service rendered. The buyer keeps the receipt as proof of remittance and reconciles it against their payment record. This generator auto-converts the numeric amount into words (the standard "Rupees Two Thousand Five Hundred Only" line that prevents post-issue tampering), captures the payment mode (cash, cheque, bank transfer, JazzCash, EasyPaisa, card), records what the payment was "against" (invoice number, PO reference), and prints a clean A4 receipt suitable for accounting filing or a compact 80mm thermal receipt for shop counters.
Always print BOTH numeric and amount-in-words. Pakistani courts treat the words as the binding figure when there's a conflict between them. This generator auto-fills the words from your numeric input, so they're never out of sync.
For cheques, write "Subject to realisation of cheque" in the Notes field UNTIL the cheque clears. Don't issue an unconditional receipt for an uncleared cheque — bounced cheques 3 days later create messy disputes.
Number receipts sequentially (RCT-2026-0001, 0002…) and never skip. FBR auditors look for gaps as the single biggest red flag for unrecorded transactions.
WhatsApp the PDF to the payer the moment you issue the receipt. Faster than email, immediately searchable, and resolves "did you receive my payment?" loops before they start.
Pro tip: keep a single Google Sheet listing every issued receipt with payer, amount, invoice ref, and date. Five-second entry per receipt; saves you hours at audit time when you need to reconcile against bank statements.
