Why we built a separate shelf for these
When you build 159+ calculators, you start noticing a pattern: most are short. The user types a number, the page returns a number, the transaction is over in five seconds. That is exactly what most people want for, say, converting metres to feet — and it is what the rest of the site specialises in.
But some problems do not collapse cleanly into a single number. Working out who inherits what in a Sunni estate is a multi-stage calculation that touches Quran, classical fiqh, and four different madhāhib. Sizing a solar system means turning a kilowatt-hour bill into panel count, inverter rating, battery capacity, and a payback period. Quoting a Pakistani plot of land means handling four unequal sides in mixed feet-and-inches input and reporting the area in Marla, Kanal, m², and Acre at the same time. Pretending those are five-second tools is how mainstream calculator sites end up feeling wrong.
The seven tools below are the answer to those harder problems. Each one ships with the kind of depth a domain expert would expect — print-ready templates, visual previews, step-by-step working, citations where they matter, and unit fluency for the markets we serve. If you only try one calculator on the site, try one from this shelf.
What sets these apart
Print-ready deliverables
Several tools export a polished PDF or printable HTML — Student Result Cards with school header, GPA transcripts, Faraiz estate-distribution tables, Plot Area site plans.
Visual + numeric output
Where a picture helps, you get one. Plot Area renders the quadrilateral top-down. Solar Panel sketches the array layout. Faraiz lays out the share tree.
Multi-section breakdowns
These tools do not collapse the answer into a single number. Each result is decomposed so you can verify, audit, or take it to a professional with confidence.
Local-unit fluency
Marla, Kanal, Tola, HEC GPA, PKR Nisab, FBR slabs — first-class support for the units South Asian and Gulf users actually quote, not just metric / imperial.
How these calculators are built and reviewed
Every tool on this shelf follows the same review process the rest of the site does — primary-source formulas, cross-verification against at least one independent reference, an editorial disclaimer where the domain warrants one (health, financial, religious, legal), and a continuous update cadence whenever the underlying source changes.
Islamic tools (Faraiz, Zakat) are built against classical Sunni jurisprudence — Quran 4:11, 4:12, and 4:176 for inheritance shares, and the Hanafi position on Nisab for Zakat. Engineering tools (Plot Area, Solar) use standard formulas — Bretschneider for irregular quadrilaterals, Heron's formula for triangular plots, peak-sun-hour modelling for solar sizing. Academic tools (GPA, Student Result Card) support the HEC Pakistan scale alongside US 4.0 and 5.0 conventions.
The full methodology — sources, review steps, update cadence, and what these calculators are not — is documented on the Methodology page.

Important: when to consult a professional
- Warasat / Faraiz: The inheritance calculator is an accurate first pass against classical Sunni jurisprudence, but contested estates, complex family situations, and cross-jurisdictional cases need a qualified Mufti and a lawyer.
- Zakat: Specific cases — business inventory valuation, mixed-asset portfolios, debts owed to you, partnership shares — may have nuances best confirmed with a qualified scholar.
- Plot Area: For legal registration, confirm boundaries and area with a licensed surveyor and the Patwari record.
- Solar sizing: Before installing, get a quote from a registered installer who can audit your roof, shading, and provincial net-metering rules.
- GPA / Result Cards: Official transcripts must come from your institution; these tools are for self-tracking, planning, and tutoring use.
