Privacy Policy — Land Area Calculator

This Privacy Policy explains how the mobile application Land Area Calculator ("the App", "we", "us") handles information. The App is developed and maintained by Muhammad Salman Saleem.

We designed the App to be private by default: it works offline, requires no account, and keeps your calculations on your device. Please read this policy to understand the limited data handled by the third-party services the App relies on for advertising.

1. Information We Collect

We do not collect, store, or transmit any personal information on our own servers. The App has no backend, no user accounts, and no login.

Everything you enter — plot measurements, plot names, owner names, locations, prices, and saved records — is stored only on your device using local storage. We cannot see, access, or retrieve this data. Deleting the App, or using the "Delete all records" option in Settings, removes it.

We do not operate any analytics, tracking, or crash-reporting service of our own.

2. Information Collected by Third-Party Services (Ads)

The App displays advertisements through Google AdMob, a Google service. To serve ads, Google and its partners may automatically collect and process limited information, including:

• Device identifiers (such as the Advertising ID)
• IP address and approximate, non-precise location derived from it
• Device information (model, operating system, language)
• App usage and ad-interaction data

This information is used to deliver, measure, and (where you consent) personalize ads. It is handled under Google’s Privacy Policy, not by us.

Your ad choices and consent

• Where required by law (for example, users in the EEA and the UK), the App shows a consent request before personalized ads are served, using Google’s User Messaging Platform. You may accept or decline.
• You can reset or limit ad personalization at any time in your device settings under Ads / Advertising ID (Android) by resetting or deleting your Advertising ID.

3. Permissions the App Requests

The App requests only the minimum permissions needed, and only when you use the related feature:

• Internet / network access — required to load advertisements. The App’s calculations themselves work fully offline.
• Photos / media (save to gallery) — requested only when you choose to save a plot image to your device gallery. The App writes the image you generate; it does not read, browse, or upload your existing photos.

The App does not request access to your camera, microphone, contacts, precise GPS location, or files beyond the image you explicitly save.

4. Sharing Your Content

The App can generate PDF reports and plot images and let you share them. These are created on your device and are shared only when you choose to share them, through your device’s standard share sheet, to the destination you select. We do not receive, store, or transmit these files.

5. Data Sharing and Selling

We do not sell, rent, or trade your information. We do not share your data with anyone, except for the limited information automatically processed by Google AdMob to provide advertising, as described in Section 2.

6. Children's Privacy

The App is a general-purpose land and property utility and is not directed at children under the age of 13 (or the equivalent minimum age in your jurisdiction). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided personal information, please contact us so we can address it.

7. Data Security

Because the App stores your calculations only on your own device and we operate no servers or accounts, your data remains under your control. Its security depends on the security of your device. We recommend keeping your device protected with a passcode and up-to-date software.

8. Data Retention and Deletion

Your saved records and preferences remain on your device until you delete them. You can remove them at any time by:

• Deleting individual records within the App,
• Using Settings → Delete all records, or
• Uninstalling the App.

9. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the "Effective date" at the top of this page. Continued use of the App after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
