Free Advance / Token Slip generator for shopkeepers and contractors taking partial advance against future orders. Records token amount, booking purpose, validity, and adjustable terms.
An Advance / Token Slip records partial payment a customer hands over to secure a future delivery — furniture orders, wedding bookings, custom-stitching, contractor mobilisation. Includes booking details, validity date, and the seller's refund-on-cancellation policy.
Token slips are the Pakistani small-business equivalent of "earnest money" in property contracts — a partial payment that commits both parties without requiring a full contract. The trap most shopkeepers fall into: vague verbal terms ("yeah token is non-refundable") that the customer disputes 3 weeks later when they cancel. Solution: write your token policy explicitly on every slip you issue. "Token forfeit on cancellation" or "Refundable if cancelled 14+ days before delivery" — five words that eliminate 90% of token-refund disputes. The other lesson Pakistani furniture and catering businesses learn the hard way: always print the booking validity date prominently. Customers genuinely forget when their order was due and turn up 4 months later expecting the same price; the printed validity is your easy out. This generator handles both for you — drop your standard policy in the default-notes and every future slip carries it.
An Advance / Token Slip records partial pre-payment a customer hands over to secure a booking or future delivery. Common in Pakistani retail: furniture orders ("PKR 5,000 token, balance on delivery"), wedding-clothing stitching ("50% advance, 50% on collection"), car bookings, custom-cake orders, contractor mobilisation advances. The slip is the seller's commitment that the booking is held and the buyer's proof that the advance was paid. Unlike a regular Payment Receipt, the Token Slip explicitly notes what the advance is for (the future order/booking), references a validity window after which the booking lapses, and typically specifies whether the token is refundable on cancellation. This generator captures all of those fields plus a generous notes/terms area for the seller's standard policy ("cancellation forfeits token", "50% advance non-refundable", etc.).
Always print the cancellation policy on the Token Slip — set your standard text in Branding Profile or default notes so it auto-appears every time. "Token forfeit on cancellation" beats "yeah we said that verbally" in every dispute.
Print the validity date prominently. Customers forget; the printed date is your evidence when they show up 3 months later expecting an old price.
Reference the Token Slip number on the final invoice when the order completes. Creates a clean audit trail from token through delivery.
For high-value bookings (wedding catering, large furniture), require 50%+ advance not 10-15%. Industry experience: 10% advance is often insufficient to deter cancellations.
Pro tip: WhatsApp the token slip PDF + payment terms to the customer immediately. The customer's family will often want to see the booking confirmation that evening; saves the "can you send another copy?" loop.
